A Powerful Piece of French History
The Panthéon is an impressive monument filled with history, beautiful architecture, and the tombs of many famous French figures like Voltaire and Marie Curie. Walking through the grand interior and the crypt makes the visit both fascinating and deeply memorable.

Beautiful discovery
Beautiful building. A pass through its architecture, by what it means and by the personalities who are buried: Marie Curie or Victor Hugo.

A Worthy Stop on your Paris Itinerary
The hearty walk up the hill to the Pantheon rewards you with a chance to encounter some of the greatest personalities in French history, who are interred in the downstairs crypt. The site itself is a feast of French arts and culture, surrounded by stately academic buildings. The sum experience of this visit is a deeper appreciation for the richness of France's long history, rich culture, and for some of the extraordinary people who shaped this country.

Beautiful.
The Pantheon in Paris is not just a beautiful building, but a true symbol of history and culture. It was originally the church of Saint Genevieve, and later became the tomb of the great men of France. The place itself is very atmospheric: you go inside and immediately feel greatness and calm. Tip - it is better to take tickets in advance online, so you can avoid a long line. We came in with no preparation and stood for 40 minutes, but it was worth it. By the way, for visitors under the age of 18, admission is free, as in many museums in Paris. The organ played beautifully and solemnly inside, adding to the special mood. Nearby is a wonderful block - you can just walk, admire the architecture, come in for a snack and sit in a cozy atmosphere. People behave calmly and respectfully, the staff is friendly, the navigation is convenient - everything is done so that the visit is enjoyable. In general, the Pantheon is a place where history meets beauty, and it should definitely be included in the itinerary through Paris.

The Remains of French Heroes
A very large building near the Sorbonne. It has gone back and forth over the decades, changing from a church to a secular building. In now houses the remains of many French leaders and heroes, including some of mine. Very grand on the inside. The area around it is all stone.

Pantheon: Uncrowded and Impressive + science and art
I didn't think I would care about a bunch of dead people, but this building is beautiful, and uncrowded -- which is a real bonus. There is an installation of 6 big plexiglass cubes commemorating WWII with installations, and Foucault's pendulum is very impressive. I love that he asked to use this Temple of the Nation burial site for his science project. Also really fun to see at night, with all the young Parisians hanging out in the pedestrian areas outside.

Intriguing rather than moving
I can't shake the feeling that this is an odd place - built as a church, converted to a Temple of Fame. The ground floor is a vast, gloomy space with vast paintings of French military endeavours (as a Brit I couldn't help chuckle as these); downstairs a crypt with the tombs of the great Rousseau and Voltaire, but the rest are forgotten figures of the early 19th century. If the gallery of the dome was still accessible (currently closed) the views would be stunning. I'm glad to have seen the Pantheon once, but honestly it ranks low on Paris attractions. If you are in the neighbourhood, better to head for the incredible church of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont and pay one's respects at the shrine to Sainte Genevieve, patron saint of Paris.

Stuning experience!
Another iconic monument of Paris that you should see at least once in your life. The interior and exterior of this neo-classical style building is one of the most famous architectural masterpieces in Paris, and this is a fundamental argument for why you should be there. For people with disabilities, I can also recommend this building, which is easily accessible by a specialized ramp outside that allows to get inside. Personally, as a disabled person, I got a ticket for free, and once again I have to say that I was satisfied, considering that for vacations wheelchair or walker users have to pay more - special hotels with extra conveniences, specialized transportation.... The infrastructure inside the building allows the disabled to see 75% of the whole, which, looking at other European countries, is a good result.
