Highly recommend getting a guided tour rather than just wandering around (which you can do anyway after the tour). The palace itself is spectacular. We were there on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't too crowded. Our guide Anna was fantastic, full of historical knowledge, personable and very funny. She answered questions fully and clearly, she knows her stuff. We found out so much we would have missed otherwise. Loved it, thank you very much Anna
